Family Therapy by Telehealth

Families get stuck in patterns nobody chose. A divorce, a new stepparent, a move, a teenager who’s stopped talking, or old roles that no longer fit. Family therapy gives everyone a place to be heard without it turning into the same fight.

How I work with families
I look at the family as a system: who does what, who carries what, and what each person learned to do to keep things steady. I also ask how those roles began, since families often repeat what earlier generations handed down. Together we look for new ways to talk, repair, and set limits. ACT skills help each person make room for hard feelings instead of acting them out.

Who I work with
Families that include teens (13 and up) and adults: two-parent, single-parent, blended, step-, co-parenting across two homes, multigenerational, and chosen family. I don’t currently work with young children.

What to expect
Sessions are by telehealth, and family members can join from different locations, which helps when people live apart or split time between homes. Sessions are 50 minutes and $150. Evening and weekend times are available.

FAQ

  • Does everyone have to attend?

    • Not always. We’ll decide together who should be in the room and when.

  • My child doesn’t want to come.

    • That’s common. We can talk about how to bring them in at their pace.

  • Can co-parents or stepparents join if we live in different homes?

    • Yes. Video sessions make that easier.
