Couples Therapy by Telehealth

Most couples don’t come in over one big thing. It’s the same argument on a loop, a distance that crept in during a hard stretch, or the feeling that you’re both trying and still missing each other.

How I work with couples
I pay attention to the pattern between you, not to who’s right. Where did each of you learn to handle closeness, conflict, and disappointment? Often the answers go back to the families we grew up in. With a psychodynamic, attachment-informed lens, we trace where those patterns come from. With ACT, we practice making room for hard feelings like hurt, fear, and defensiveness, and choosing how you want to show up with each other.

Who I work with
Couples in all kinds of relationships. In particular, I have experience working with neurodivergent and blended families. You don’t need to be in crisis, and you don’t need to agree on why you’re here.

What to expect
Sessions are by video, and each of you can join from wherever you’re comfortable. Sessions are 50 minutes and $150. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, and a sliding scale may be available. Evening and weekend times are available.

Start with a free 15-minute phone consultation. We’ll talk about what’s going on and whether I’m a good fit. You can schedule by email or through the consultation page.

FAQ

  • Do we both have to come? Ideally, yes. If your partner isn’t ready, we can start with you and see where it goes.

  • Is couples therapy covered by insurance? No. Private pay only. I can provide a superbill you can submit to your own plan.

  • What if one of us is skeptical? That’s common. We’ll start with what each of you wants to be different.
